Old Single Vineyard field blend (about 10 different grapes varieties).
From October 11, 2016 to May 23, 2017, a total of 557 litres/m2 of rain (annual average 750 litres/m2). Strong and persistent wind from January until the beginning of May. Frost in May did some damage to the crop.
June, July, August and September: very high levels of heat and dry weather
Harvest one month earlier than usual.
Hand-picked harvest from 16th to 24th August. Grapes crushed, pressed, and must decanted.
Natural fermentation and ageing for 12 months in very old oak barrels (225 litres). No malolactic. Bottled at 22th August 2018 without finning and filtering.
