Vicentino Syrah 2017 Red
The Vine and the Sea
Vicentino's castes are blessfuly located over the Alentejo coast, thriving on the Portuguese sun and the Atlantic breeze.
Soil and Castes
Planted in schist-clay and loamy-sandy soils, with low productive potential, Vicentino's castes bear its best traits.
Vinification and Stage
In stainless steel vats, at a controlled temperature of 14ºC. Over fermentation lees for 6 months, followed by 3 months of staging in bottle before being commercialized.
Tasting Notes
The wine that better mirrors the symbiosis between the Atlantic, the soil and the vines it's the Vicentino Syrah. In the Vicentino's vineyards the proximity to the ocean reveals a singular aspect of the Syrah caste. Introductory notes of cassis and grafite combined with some vegetable, extend into a long saline finish.
