Rosa D'Argilla 2018 Red

Seasoned with hot and dry summer, average annual rainfall 650mm.
4,000 vines / ha; bilateral cord, with exposure to the south
80% of total destemming before crushing and fermentation in 140-liter amphorae. After fermentation, a blend was made with 20% tanning of the same variety.
We characterize the year 2018 as a demanding year from the production point of view. The winter had a low rainfall, followed by a very humid and rainy spring, extending with these temperatures until the end of June. The summer of that year had very hot peaks, which led to a very irregular maturation and production losses in some varieties. These grapes were harvested by hand, in mid-August, at the same time that the white grapes were harvested.
Bottling in June 2019 and aging in bottle since then.
