Quinta da Extrema Reserva 2016 Red

Wine Year
The winter was hot and rainy, resulting in a very early sprouting. The vegetative cycle up to the close of the bunch was long and quite troubled due to a cold spring and
extremely rainy, where powdery mildew was a constant threat. To date it was the hottest summer since 1931, but no hot flashes; due to this fact and the high water availability in the soil, the end of the vegetative cycle was perfect. At harvest the grapes were more balanced than the previous year, with more acidity and lower concentrations of sugar. Being a year of production above
the end of the harvest lasted until the end of October, but without prejudice as the beginning of autumn was dry. Normally white and red wines are fresh, vibrant and very elegant. It will probably be a year with excellent guarding potential.

Winemaking and Stage
Fermentation in stainless steel, preceded by stage in new and used French oak barrels for 12 months

Tasting Notes: Garnet colored wine, with a lot of complexity and a very fine balance in the fruit-wood binomial. The structure of the wine is multidimensional, which makes the wine ample and with enormous persistence.
